1. Only open the driver side door and push the “Unlock” button
2. Turn the ignition to “Off” then to “Run” eight times in a ten-second window
3. You want the ignition to end on “Run” to enter the programming mode
4. The doors of your Ford vehicle will lock and unlock several times. In the instance that they do not, you will need to start the process over.
5. Push any button on your Ford key fob within the eight-second interval to begin programming.
6. The car doors will lock, which is confirmation that you have reset your Ford key fob for keyless entry!

How to Program Multiple Ford Key Fobs

Whether you have one or multiple Ford key fobs, you want them all to be in working order for other household members or as a spare. Here is how to program more than one Ford key fob for the same vehicle:

2. Once you have programmed each key fob you need to turn the ignition off for the doors to lock
3. The vehicle will cycle one last time for confirmation of completion
4. You can now test all of your Ford key fobs!

Reset a Ford Intelligent Access Key Fob

Do you need to reset a Ford key fob that has Ford Intelligent Access? No sweat, here is how you program a new Ford key fob or any spare key fobs for the same Ford vehicle:

1. Put your unprogrammed Intelligent Access key fob in the pocket of the center console, as well as, two already programmed keys inside your Ford
2. On the driver and passenger sides, press the door unlock button three times
3. Push down on the brake pedal and release it one time
4. You should see the “Start/Stop” button indicator flash, which means that you are in the programming mode
5. Within a minute of being in the programming mode, you need to press the “Start/Stop” button again.
6. Look for a message that will appear on the display screen when the new key is programmed
7. You need to press the “Unlock” button on your newly programmed Ford Intelligent Access key fob to exit the programming mode.
8. Now you can test your Ford Intelligent Access Key fob’s functionality.
