2020 Volvo S60 Interior
Edmunds raves about the S60’s “wonderfully comfortable and supportive seats,” and notes significant feature upgrades for 2020 from 2019, including a now-standard virtual instrument panel on all models, and standard four-zone climate control, interior lighting, and a tailored dashboard for the R-Design trim.
Kelley Blue Book finds the S60 to be a super-luxurious ride, calling it “a solid, quiet and roomy car, with plenty of headroom despite the huge panoramic sunroof. Back-seat room is equally impressive, with a 6-foot-tall person able to sit behind a driver of the same height. Moreover, the electric-assist power steering has a natural feel, and the well-controlled body motions help this midsize Volvo sedan remain composed on twisty pavement.”
2020 Volvo S60 Performance
U.S. News likes the S60’s “three capable powertrain options, including a muscular twincharged engine and a plug-in-hybrid variant.” In their expert review, Kelley Blue Book is equally impressed by the S60 powertrains, “a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 with 250 horsepower, a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter with 316 horsepower, or a plug-in hybrid version that has a 313-horsepower engine supplemented by a rear electric motor with 87 horsepower.”
2020 Volvo S60 Trim Levels
Edmunds praises the S60’s range of trim levels and configurations, making it easy to find one to fit your needs. That said, for a reasonable starting MSRP of $36,050, “the base-level S60 comes with impressive equipment such as automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch instrument panel display, forward collision warning, and a drowsy driver warning system. But if you want more, there’s plenty of room on the options sheet for more luxury comforts and added power.”
Overall, Edmunds’ S60 T5 review is positive about the T5 Momentum for coming with “lots of standard equipment and an impressive array of safety features.” It’s also available with either the T5 or T6 powertrain, both of which should be satisfying for most. Want some extra safety stuff? You can have that, too, thanks to an excellent selection of available option packages.”
If you’re more interested in a vehicle that captures the best of both the sedan and wagon classes, Edmunds finds a lot to like in their 2020 Volvo S60 Cross Country review, stating that its “beautiful interior made with premium materials is able to compete with other luxury brands.”
